The purpose of the alliance is to facilitate the game play of all members. We are here to have a good time and play this game together. By creating an atmosphere that fosters general good game play and players, everyone will benefit and enjoy the game more than they ever could alone. We are made better as an alliance by every new member. Some people learn faster than others, some level faster than others, some people play more than others; there are so many things to take into account. Regardless of this, we will be patient and help guild/alliance mates on their journey.
The alliance was built to promote a well balanced group of players, so that they may achieve a greater enjoyment from playing than they could get alone.
In short, we're here to have fun, all of us. If what you're doing - no matter how much fun for you - is making someone else have less fun, STOP.
Code of Conduct
GENERAL:
-
Respect comes from within. If we respect each other, and everyone around us, the alliance will achieve the respect we desire on the server.
-
Be polite and courteous to others.
-
DAoC is little more than just a game, so never treat "friends" like they are not real. They are real.
-
Take responsibility for your own character's development and growth and your contribution to the alliance. The alliance is here to assist and provide support; our members should not expect handouts. We do what we can to help out.
-
Encourage and foster teamwork throughout the alliance within the duration of your game playing.
-
Provide guidance and support to fellow alliance mates be it moral support or answers to some of their questions.
-
Be patient and courtesy to members as they develop their skills and learn the nuances of being a part of the alliance.
-
Support fellow alliance members to the best of your abilities. (quests, grouping, directions, etc)
-
Leave your attitude at the door and have fun.
GROUP:
-
Whenever possible, group with alliance members. Hunt with one another.
-
When the time permits, be helpful to other people, whether they be alliance mates or not.
-
We understand that a time will come when you must leave suddenly, just try not to make a habit of it. If you know you will be leaving soon, try to find a replacement for yourself in the group. Always keep the group informed so that they can try to find a replacement as well.
-
During important raids try not to go AFK unless it is important. And always let the group leader know you are AFK.
CHAT:
-
Yes, we all know that DAoC has a language filter. Still, remember that our Alliance is a family oriented Alliance. Out of respect for our younger members and all those who simply don't want to log into some obscene conversation, keep it clean. This goes for all chats...guild, group, alliance, and especially open.
-
We require our members to act in a mature and respectful way. Please, act your age, or in some cases act a decade older.
-
Keep all arguments private. Use /tell or one on one chat.
-
Please try not to discuss politics or religion in chat. As there are many different points of view and this always turns in to debates we do not want.
-
If someone asks you to take the chat out of guild/group/alliance please do so and make a private chat session immediately. Do not wait.
-
If someone try’s to start or keep going on an argument don’t add to it. Report it to your GM and the officer’s will discuss the issue and take appropriate action. Don’t give into temptation to “attack back”.
-
Everyone should use alliance chat. This includes saying “Hi” when you log on and “Good Bye” when you log off. If you don’t, we will be unable to get to know you.
-
If someone asks for help and you are online, even if you can’t help or join them say something. That your doing something else or helping someone else whatever it maybe, but answer them. Don’t leave them hanging; it’s just nice to know.
Discipline:
Anyone in the alliance is there because we thought them a good person/guild and someone we want to hang around with. We understand people will have differences of opinion at times and we want to see these differences resolved in a peaceful manner. So any grievances that need to be made should be made to a GM(s). Never, ever make a personal issue a guild/alliance issue by speaking openly in any chat other than a private Send or Chat Group between you and the GM(s). The GM(s) will hear both sides of the grievance and make a decision. Their decision is final. If necessary, the GM(s) can escalate the situation to the alliance leaders/co-leaders and a meeting will be held to discuss the situation and that decision is final.
Code of Honor:
-
Loyalty, Honor and Respect shall be upheld at ALL times
-
We shall protect the innocent and weak to the best of our abilities
-
We shall respect all life
-
We will be fair and swift in all judgment
-
Noble in all our actions
-
We will be honest and true to our Allies and Friends
